Dirk Neefs began his educational journey at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, earning his Bachelor of Dentistry in 1987. Driven by a keen interest in surgical dentistry and dental implants, he pursued further studies and obtained a Master’s degree in Surgical Dentistry from the Université de Liège in 1996.
He established his dental practice in Antwerp in 1987 and has since been dedicated to delivering high-quality dental care to his patients. Throughout his career, Dirk continuously sought to deepen his expertise in implantology. From 2002 to 2018, his professional experiences in Barcelona and Asturias, Spain, further expanded his knowledge in dental implants and oral rehabilitation techniques.
In 2019, Dirk joined the team at B-dent in Antwerp, and in 2023, he began collaborating with Vitadent in Kapellen.
Among his contributions to the field of dentistry are:
– the development of the Tempocopy protocol
– the creation of an intraoral ice pack, aimed at enhancing patient comfort during treatments.
Dirk Neefs is an active member of several professional associations, including:
– the Holomedecine Association,
– ITI (International Team for Implantology),
– the Aerospace Medical Association.
He has also shared his expertise as a speaker at institutions such as:
– Nice University,
– DMTD University of Luxembourg,
– University of San Pablo CEU Valencia,
– and at TEDx Antwerp (2018), where he delivered a talk titled “Look and feel young, go to the dentist”, available on YouTube.
Additionally, Dirk serves as a Topical Team Moderator for the European Space Agency (ESA).
