Dr. hab. Krzysztof Dowgierd, MD, Professor at the University of Warmia and Mazury
is a recognized expert in oral and maxillofacial surgery and a pioneer in innovative craniofacial reconstruction techniques for both children and adults.
A graduate of the Medical University of Gdańsk, he earned his Ph.D. in 2016, defending a dissertation on the use of a palatal distractor in the treatment of maxillary constriction—a technology he was the first to introduce to the Polish market.
He currently holds the positions of:
– Head of the Craniofacial Anomalies Center
– Chief of the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at the Regional Specialist Children’s Hospital in Olsztyn
As a faculty member at the University of Warmia and Mazury and co-owner of Dowgierd Clinic, he specializes in:
– craniofacial reconstructive surgery
– the treatment of cleft defects
– the correction of facial deformities
Dr. Dowgierd has completed numerous fellowships at prestigious institutions, including the Craniofacial Center in Seattle, as well as clinics in Zurich, Belgium, France, Spain, and India.
He is the author of numerous scientific publications and a frequent speaker at international conferences, where he shares his knowledge with medical professionals from around the world.
